Digitization of Ukraine is gaining momentum even in times of war. On September 10, 2022, the Cabinet of Ministers approved Resolution No. 1090, which amends the legislation on vehicles, and in particular, Resolution 1299 of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on issues of issuing driver's licenses and allowing citizens to drive vehicles.
For a long time, the registration and re-registration of a vehicle was too bureaucratic a procedure that required the collection of a voluminous package of documents, spending a lot of time and frequent additional costs for notary actions. Also, during the period of corona virus restrictions, one should not forget about the danger of frequent contacts and the danger of gatherings of people, without which visits to the Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs cannot be imagined.
And that is why such changes were already extremely necessary for a country that is developing so rapidly and positioning itself as a country with a digital future in the field of public services.
The immediate benefits of changes in the legislation can be called the appearance of extraterritoriality, which is designed to save the most important human resource - time.
The possibility of abandoning paper (plastic) driver's license forms and vehicle registration certificates, which will be replaced by digital documents, that is, if you have a smartphone, you will not need to worry about the risks of losing or stealing a physical document. And, of course, the possibility of concluding a contract of sale online with only an electronic signature (KEP) is a remarkable progress in the field of document management.
Therefore, all of us will be able to evaluate the advantages of digitalization of public services and choose between online and offline communication with the service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
